Languages Other Than English

Languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, French, German, in our curriculum, includes and values the learning of all languages. The major rationale for learning languages is that being able to communicate proficiently provides learners with essential communication skills in the target language, an intercultural capability, and an understanding of the role of language and culture in human communication.   It provides the opportunity for students to engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of humanity as well as broadening students’ horizons to include the personal, social and employment opportunities presented by an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world.
