One-2-One Learning Laptop Program

Equipping all our students with their own laptop is essential to our school’s vision of delivering 21st century learning in all subject areas. Laptop technology enables teachers to personalise learning to a student’s level of readiness and anywhere anytime access to a rich array of resources. In 2011 we began with Year 8s having their own laptops purchased by parents through the school.

As a result of Glenunga International being the Learning Technologies Research Project Secondary School for South Australia we have discovered how technologies can be used to enrich face to face teaching.  We have experienced the benefits of students being able to learn at their own pace, interact with class mates and teachers outside the classroom, access course material as required, interact with students in other countries in real time, and get feedback faster.  Students tell us that they have a perception of more teacher time focussed on them when they are involved in a technology-based learning environment.
